Josh grew up in a small town outside of Philadelphia, PA. From a young age knew he was destined for something greater than his hometown could offer. He comes from two generations of stylists, his mom and grandmother. His interest in hair and all things beautiful came honestly and without family pressure. Some of his earliest memories of being enamored with hair are playing with his Barbie’s, giving them crayola marker ombrés - Or being babysat by his aunt, and playing with her long flowing hair and 90s scrunchies.

After having a career day at elementary school, and seeing a segment from a hairstylist, Josh knew that’s what he was going to do! From that day on he began manifesting that dream.  In 10th grade he started the cosmetology program at a local vocational school. Doing so gave him the opportunity to finish cosmetology school and high school at the same time! 

Josh started his first job as an assistant to the busiest salon in his town, at just 15 years old! Here he was able to learn from stylists who had been in the industry for 20+ years. He spent much of his time picking their brains and soaking up as much knowledge as possible. Much of which he still refers to today to help formulate and provide top quality results. 

In his 12 years of being a hairstylist Josh has found his truest passions. Education, hair color, and hair extensions! Josh prides himself on never “knowing it all”, rather always learning. He loves to attend classes and subscribes to many education programs. Hair color and hair extensions have been his favorite services throughout his career. 

Hair color excites his inner chemistry nerd and artist! The endless possibilities of applications and results keeps coloring hair fun and interesting. He himself has had every color in the rainbow and then some! His earliest haircolor memory is his mom doing cap highlights at home and applying the leftover bleach to his hair to give him frosted tips. . . He was never the same after that! 

Josh recalls the moment when he found out that hair extensions existed. His very young mind was spinning and questioning “you can just, put on other hair????” The idea that you can have short or fine hair and then magically have long or thick hair simply blew his mind. He knew he wanted to learn how to do this! Josh became the first certified artist in Austin, Tx for The Kacey Welch Method in 2019. This company provides sewn-in hair extensions of the highest quality to blend with anyones existing color. Josh has gained an ever growing extension clientele since then, and has gone on to assist in certification classes for The Kacey Welch Method.

Hair color, hair extensions, and long hair cutting are Josh’s specialties. He is detail oriented, passionate about hair health + education, and loves to provide a relaxing experience to all who sit in his chair.
